Established in 2004, we are a co-educational school located in a thriving expatriate area in west Shanghai.  As part of the prestigious Nord Anglia Education group of schools, we ensure that all our students become the best they can be, ready to play leading roles as global citizens of the 21st century. Our English medium education follows the UK National Curriculum from ages 3-16, and then offers the academically rigorous IB Diploma. Our growing primary school has 775 students on roll. It produces strong National Curriculum test results and has a broad and exciting modern languages provision as well as the benefit of high quality facilities and an extensive programme of extracurricular activities.

 

We are looking for an experienced school leader to join us as Head of our Primary School and help us to take our school from good to outstanding.  He or she will have a proven track-record in school leadership and a strong understanding of British education, as well as the creativity, motivation, communication skills and adaptability to make a significant impact in this central role.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal, Vice-Principal and Head of Secondary to:

·         strengthen and develop the school’s mission, vision and strategic plan;

·         engage with children, staff and parents to ensure that we identify, understand and meet their educational aims and needs;

·         build strong relationships with all members of the school community;

·         ensure that the Primary School remains full and in high demand;

·         build and monitor the necessary teams and systems to run the school effectively;

·         ensure that the teaching and learning in the school is of the highest quality;

·         encourage participation and success in sports, music, drama, arts and other extra-curricular programmes;

·         develop the use of forward looking technology in teaching and learning;

·         maximise the use of the combined Primary and Secondary campuses.
